A colour challenge and a sketch

May 15, 2011

My card today combines a colour challenge on Create with Connie and Mary and a sketch challenge at Sudsol.

My base card is Not Quite Navy and I have added a layer of Sahara Sand which has been stamped with the Sanded Background using Not Quite Navyink.  This piece has also been embossed using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I stamped the ship from the Seaworthy stampset onto Sahara Sand card using Not Quite Navy ink.  I added a mat of Poppy Parade which has been punched down the right hand side using the Scallop Edge Punch.  Not sure if I like this one but as I am slightly “male card challenged” it will have to do.

Bye for now, Kris.

Love the cool effect of the “Sanded Background” with the impressions folder. Pretty neat! Thanks for playing with us at Create with Connie & Mary!

I think you made a super great masculine card! I love the sanded background and then textured with the embossing folder. Nice clean and simple design! Thanks for playing the challenge at Create with Connie and Mary!

Masculine cards can be so tough but you have made it look easy with this one. Thanks for playing at CCMC this week.
