Dinoroar

September 29, 2011

This is the last card I made for my Hostess last weekend and I know she has at least two great grandson’s who love Dinosaurs.

My base card is Pacific Point scored and folded.  I added a Whisper White layer which has been embossed using the Stripes Embossing Folder.  I also embossed a strip of Whisper White using the Square Lattice Embossing folder and attached it to an Old Olive cardstock mat and then to the card front.  I stamped the dinosaur image from the Dinoroar stampset onto Whisper White card using Soft Suede ink.  I also stamped the grass image using River Rock and Old Olive ink.  The image has been slightly offset onto a Real Red cardstock mat and attached to the card front using dimensionals.

I stamped the “Roar that means happy birthday in dinosaur” from the same stampset onto Whisper White card using Real Red ink.  I trimmed the card down to 3/8″ wide and then inserted each end into the Word Window Punch to get the rounded corners.  I cut a strip of Daffodil Delight card 1/2″ wide and inserted the ends into the 1/2″ circle punch to get the rounded ends and then attached the greeting to the card front.

I think this is a really fun stampset.  I am  hoping that my Hostess will be able to put this card to good use.

Bye for now, Kris.

Love the card. I too have grandsons who like dinosaurs, and I plan on using that stamp set to make their birthday cards. Your card is beautiful. I especially like the embossing your consistently use.
