Bottle Tag
Here is a really quick little project for you. I made this tag to go on a bottle of Chocolate Port that I gave my Dad for Father’s Day.
The idea came from a card I found on Mary Fish’s blog a long time ago which used ribbon to create a tie. I used Chocolate Chip card to make the hanger. I punched a hole using the 1-3/8″ circle punch, but of course you would need to make sure that it goes over the neck of your bottle.
I scored the Chocolate Chip card, so that it would hang a little straighter on the bottle. I ran a piece of Very Vanilla card through the Big Shot using the Stripes Embossing Folder and tied Chocolate Chip 1/2″ Scallop Dots Ribbon to simulate a tie before attaching it to the Chocolate Chip card. I stamped Happy Fathers Day from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set onto Very Vanilla card using Chocolate Chip ink. I used my Framelit bitty Banners to cut the greeting and then attached it to Chocolate Chip card and free hand cut the “v” shape to match. I attached it over the ribbon to simulate a Tie Clip. A very simple little tag but it does dress the bottle up somewhat.
I’d love to hear what you think.
Bye for now, Kris.

I LURVE this idea Kris…it rocks. I bet your Dad was pretty chuffed too. The tie looks so v v cool. Brilliantly done.
