Mossy Meadow Christmas

September 20, 2018

For this card, I have used the same principle as the two previous cards I shared but this time I am using the Winter Woods stamp set.  I stamped the row of trees from the Winter Woods stamp set across the top of Whisper White card using Mossy Meadow ink.  I stamped the single tree over the top using the same ink.  I stamped the greeting from the Winter Woods stamp set  at the bottom of the panel using Mossy Meadow ink.  I attached a length of Real Red 3/8″ Mixed Satin Ribbon to the back of each side of the stamped panel and tied a bow.  I stamped the single tree from the Winter Woods stamp set onto scrap Whisper White card and used the co-ordinating In The Woods Framelits Die to cut out the tree.  This die cuts the outside of the tree but it also cuts little windows all over the tree so that you get a real 3D effect.  The die cut tree is attached over the stamped tree using Tombow Multipurpose Glue on the outside edges and between the windows.  I cut Mossy Meadow card using the Delicate Lace Edgelits Dies and attached it behind the right hand edge of the stamped card.  The panel is attached to Whisper White card and then scored and folded Mossy Meadow card.

To decorate the inside of the card, I cut Mossy Meadow card using the the same Delicate Lace Edgelit die and attached it to the left hand side of Whisper White card.

I think I love the detail and the colour of this card the most of the three I have made.  What about you?

Bye for now,

Kris

Kris: What is the dimension of the white card stock that the trees were stamped on and the dimension of the green card stock before the delicate lace die?

    Thanks.

Thanks for asking about the dimensions. The White card is 7cm wide by 14.3cm long. Sorry I don’t have the inch conversion. I cut the green delicate lace edge from scrap card, I placed the edge of the die on the straight edge, then I attached it behind the left hand edge of the stamped panel.

Thanks for the example it’s lovely – but what is the dimension of the finished card?the 14.3 long would be larger than the normal 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 card I’m used to making – I’m trying to figure it out to try and make it – plus where did you score the line at the fold. Ht

Hi Heather, my dimensions are for an Australian standard sized card. Our cards are roughly 5-13/16″ x 4-1/8″ Our cardstock is 11-11/16″ x 8-1/4″. I think this card would work if you just made your card 5-7/8″ x 4-1/4″. OR you could make it on your standard sized card and add a small greeting.
