Try Stamping on Tuesday 389

January 8, 2019

Today’s card was created using the current sketch challenge at Try Stamping on Tuesday.  I am on a little bit of a roll using Designer Series paper as the focal point on my card as you can see.  I cut Balmy Blue card using the Delicate Lace Edgelits Dies and attached it behind the lower edge of a piece of Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper which you can have for free with a qualifying order.  The panel is attached to Whisper White card and then scored and folded Balmy Blue card.  I cut Balmy Blue card using the banner from the Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies.  I stamped the greeting from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set onto Whisper White card using Balmy Blue ink.  I cut out the greeting using one of the ovals from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.  I cut the Balmy Blue banner in half and attached it behind the greeting so that you could see both ends.  The greeting is attached to the card front using dimensionals.

To decorate the inside of the card, I cut Balmy Blue card using the same Delicate Lace Edgelit Die and cut it down to fit behind a narrow strip of Designer Series Paper.  The designer series paper is attached to the bottom of Whisper White card.

I am really liking the idea of making the Designer Series paper the focal point of some of my cards.  It’s a great way to use some of the beautiful papers which are available both in the Annual Catalogue and the new Occasions Catalogue.

I’d love to know what you think.

Bye for now,

Kris

Kris, your lovely card is incredibly feminine with hardly any use of pink! Love the lace die cuts and how you paired then with the DSP. Thank you for sharing your talents with us at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday! -Donna

Thank you Donna. I loved your sketch and it gave me the perfect opportunity to use this somewhat “busy” paper.
