Just Add Ink #512

Today I am sharing some cards I made using the Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge 512. Unfortunately I didn’t meet the deadline to join the challenge but loved the sketch anyway. I decided to cut up Gray Granite, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake card to create the basis of the sketch. Once I cut the pieces, I attached one piece in each colour to Basic Black card. I cut the panel using the largest Stitched Rectangle Die. I embossed the panel using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder before attached it to scored and folded Basic Black card. I cut an oval from Very Vanilla card using the Layering Ovals Dies and stamped the car image from the Geared Up Garage stamp set onto the oval using Gray Granite ink. I coloured the card using the Light Gray Granite Stampin’ Blend. I cut a mask from a post-it-note and covered the car image. I stamped the “smoke” image from the Geared Up Garage stamp set using Mossy Meadow ink which I stamped onto scrap paper first.
I used a sponge to add a little Pool Party ink to the sky area. I cut a scalloped oval from Basic Black card using the Layering Ovals Dies and after removing the mask attached the stamped oval. The image panel is attached to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped the greeting from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set onto Very Vanilla card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut it out using the label die from the All Dressed Up Dies. I attached the greeting to the card front using dimensionals.
To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped another greeting from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set onto Very Vanilla card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the “smoke” image from the Geared Up Garage stamp set twice over the greeting using Mossy Meadow ink which I had stamped onto scrap paper first.
What a fun layout to play with! Thanks so much Just Add Ink. It’s a kind of three for one project, because you have to cut three pieces from each colour, so, of course, I had to make two more cards. I have all kinds of ideas floating around in my head now to use this sketch again.
Bye for now,
Kris
