All White
This week the challenge for Late Night Stampers is to create a card using only white, however, you may add a greeting in another colour.
I thought that using just White would be a challenge, however, to my surprise this card came together quite easily.
To my folded base card I have added a piece of plain Whisper White and then over the top another Whisper White card which has been embossed using the Finial Press Embossing Folder. I wrapped these two pieces with Whisper White 5/8″ Satin Ribbon and tied a knot before attaching it to the card front. I stamped “congratulations” from the Occasional Quotes stampset using Basic Black ink. I cut the largest and smallest flower on the Island Floral Die using Whisper White card and punched one flower using the Fancy Flower Punch. I separated each of the flowers into two layers and scrunch them up. I opened them and stacked them on a Whisper White 5/8″ Jumbo Brad smallest flower first and making sure that the petals were all staggered. Scrunched each of the layers up around the brad and opened it out again. I attached the flower to the card using Mini Glue Dots.
You can see the texture in the flower and the embossing. I love this card and think it would make a very elegant Wedding card. How about you? What do you think?

Wish Big
I made this card for the sketch challenge at Stamping 411 this week. I started with a folded Pacific Point card and added a piece of Tempting Turquoise Striped Designer Series Paper from the Brights Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack. I embossed a piece of Whisper White card using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and added a piece of Pacific Point card which has been punched using the Scallop Border Punch before attaching it over the bottom of the designer paper. I stamped “Wish Big” from the Word Play stampset and punched it out using the Decorative Label punch. I punched a Decorative Label from Pacific point card and cut it in half and attached one half behind the top of the greeting and one piece behind the bottom of the greeting and then attached it to the card front using Mini Glue Dots. I cut a star from Tempting Turquoise card using the Movers and Shapers Punch Windows. I used the Extra Large Star punch to punch a star from Pacific Point card and attached it to the Tempting Turquoise star. I tied a tiny sliver of Whisper White card through a Tempting Turquoise button from the Brights Designer Buttons, attached it to the stars using Mini Glue Dots and then used dimensionals to attach the whole piece to the card front.

A vintage card
Well I hope it is anyway. This is the last card I made for the Design Team at Late Night Stampers this week.
My base card is Early Expresso and I have added a layer of Crumb Cake card. I embossed the Crumb Cake card with the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder and then using a sponge I lightly rubbed Early Expresso ink over the embossed section. I stamped the flower image from the Nature Walk stampset onto Very Vanilla card using Early Expresso ink which I stamped twice onto scrap paper first. I also stamped the bee image from the Nature Walk stampset onto the Very Vanilla card using Early Expresso ink which I stamped off onto scrap paper first. Then I stamped the bird image and the butterfly image from the same stampset using Early Expresso ink without stamping onto scrap paper first. I used my Paper Distressing Tool on the edges of the Very Vanilla card and then scrunched it up tightly into a ball and opened it several times to make the paper very soft. I created a couple of tears and separated the layers in several places, sponging Crumb Cake and Early Expresso ink onto the exposed inner layers. I also used a sponge to add Early Expresso ink to the fold lines as well. I attached the Very Vanilla card to the Crumb Cake card using Mini Glue dots.
Here you can see a close up of the distressed Very Vanilla piece of card. This is a new way for me to use this stampset which hasn’t seen enough ink since I purchased it. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this one.

A Just Believe Birthday
This is a small 4 x 4″ square card. I have started with a base of Whisper White. The strip of designer paper is from the Regals Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack and I have added a Tangerine Tango cardstock mat with one edge punched using the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I stamped the small leafy image from the Just Believe stampset onto Whisper White card using Old Olive ink and punched it using the 1 3/8″ circle punch. A Old Olive 1 3/4″ scallop circle is added behind the image circle and then attached to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped “happy birthday” from the Create A Cupcake stampset onto Whisper White card using Old Olive ink. I snipped both ends to get the banner effect and attached it to the cardfront with snail on the ends and dimensionals in the centre.
I made this card using a sketch at Sudsol last week.

A doily flower
I’ve used some of the prize I won from Madeline Morcelo to create this card.
I started with a Melon Mambo Base card. Next is a layer of Elegant Eggplant. I added a piece of Very Vanilla card and I have added another layer of Elegant Eggplant which is embossed using the Finial Press Embossing Folder over the top. Before attaching the Elegant Eggplant layer to the Melon Mambo folded base card I wrapped it with Old Olive 5/8″ grosgrain ribbon and ited a knot. The flower is from the fabulous new Flirtatious Specialty Paper in the US catalogue (thanks Madeline). I simply cut the doily shape free from the rest of the sheet and added an Elegant Eggplant flower punched with the Boho Blossoms punch. A Very Vanilla 5/16″ Jumbo Brad in the centre completes the flower. The greeting from the Sincere Salutations stampset is stamped using Elegant Eggplant ink.
I do hope we get this paper in our catalogue. It is simply sensational.

A Word Play Christmas
This sketch was a Sudsol challenge last week. I didn’t get around to it on time but created this card anyway. Someone was asking about easy Christmas cards and I don’t think it could get much easier than this. I used Whisper White as my card base and added a layer of Old Olive. The next layer of Whisper White is embossed using the Petals-A-Plenty Embossing Folder. I rolled the Soft Holly standard wheel onto Whisper White card using Old Olive ink and added an Old Olive mat. This is attached to the lower part of the card front. I stamped the greeting from the Word Play stampset using Old Olive ink and punched it out using the 1 3/4″ circle punch. I added an Old Olive mat cut with the Circle Scissors and attached this to the card front using dimensionals.
As I said very easy card and easy to change to other colours, Real Red and Night of Navy come to mind immediately.

Not much stamping…but I like it
I made this card for the sketch challenge at Stamping 411 this week. It also fits with the challenge at Late Night Stampers to use new catalogue product. I was lucky enough to win some Stampin’ Up! product from Madeline Morcelo (thanks Madeline) whilst participating in the last edition of Inkspiration 4U, so I incorporated a little something into this card.
I embossed a strip of Basic Black card using the Finial Press Embossing folder layered it onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler card and attached it to the left hand side of a piece of Basic Black card. I cut a Top Note from a piece of Very Vanilla card and embossed it using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder. This is attached to the right hand side of the Basic Black card. I wrapped a piece of Very Vanilla 5/8″ Satin Ribbon over the layers and then attached it to my folded Always Artichoke base card. I tied a bow with the Very Vanilla 5/8″ Satin Ribbon and attached it using mini glue dots. I stamped “celebrate” from the Fabulous Phases stampset (not current in Australia at the moment but current in the US and Canadian catalogue) using Basic Black ink onto Very Vanilla card and punched it with the Word Window Punch. The greeting is attached to a Modern Label punched from Cherry Cobbler card.
I cut Cherry Cobbler card using the Floral Fusion sizzlet, separated each of the 3 flowers into two layers, scrunched them and then stacked them onto a Basic Black brad. Then I attached a tiny piece of a laser cut doily from the Flirtatious Specialty Designer Paper. This comes as Melon Mambo or Pumpkin Pie on one side and is white on the other. I sponged Always Artichoke ink onto the white side and used it as leaves. This paper is truly lovely.
I will post another card using these laser cut doilies during the week.

A Very Simple Card
I thought I would share one more card I made using the inspiration photo at Late Night Stampers.
I masked the bottom of the Whisper White piece and then stamped the large flower image from the Just Believe stampset which I have inked using Real Red and Old Olive Stampin’ Write Markers. I wrapped the Whisper White card with Old Olive 5/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon and attached it to my Old Olive folded card base. I stamped the greeting from the Curvy Verses stampset using Real Red ink.
A super simple card but sometimes less is best.

A Bug Birthday
My friend Gwen has very cleverly designed a double fancy fold card and of course I had to try one out.
My card base is Basic Grey which I have cut according to Gwen’s dimensions. I stamped the “ants” from the Bugs and Kisses stampset onto Very Vanilla card using Basic Grey ink added a mat of Ridinghood Red card and attached it to the bottom of the front of the card. I stamped the “dragonfly” image onto Very Vanilla card using Basic Grey ink and used my Tempting Turquoise pastel to colour in the wings. Both these pieces are matted with Tempting Turquoise card and are attached to card. I stamped the greeting using Ridinghood Red ink onto Very Vanilla card and then stamped the worm image twice using Basic Grey ink. The image is attached to Daffodil Yellow card and then attached to the central panel. For the two narrow panels on both edges of the card, I cut a piece of Ridinghood Red card and punched one edge with the Scallop Edge Border Punch and then attached a narrow strip of Very Vanilla card. The whole piece was then embossed using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

Another Design Team Card
I hope you are enjoying the cards I am making for Late Night Stampers. I am having fun creating my samples and I have been more organised with my posts, which hopefully means more for you to see and enjoy.
This time my card base is Old Olive and I have added a piece of Old Olive Designer Paper from the Brights Designer Series Paper Pattern Stack (I love these – thanks Shirley for making me buy one) which is matted on a piece of Pacific Point card with the top edge punched using the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I stamped my image from the Simply Said stampset onto Whisper White card using Old Olive ink. I punched a piece of Pacific Point card using the Ornament Extra Large Punch and trimmed the top and the bottom to give straight edges. I attached this over the bottom of the stamped image. I attached some of the pearl trim to dress up the “pot”. I punched Tempting Turquoise card using one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. These were attached over the flowers in the stamped image and each flower has a small Basic Pearl in the centre.
