Challenge Week 5
Wow, can you believe it….it’s five weeks since Gwen, Vicky and I started Sunny Challenges and Creations. While there haven’t been lots of entries we have been encouraged by your support and the lovely comments that we have been getting. We would really love to see more of your gorgeous creations……

…So this week we are supplying a sketch and you can do anything you like as long as you use Marina Mist somewhere on your card. So let’s see what you can create. You can use any shape where the flower is on the sketch.

I used Cherry Cobbler for the base of my card and then added a layer of Very Vanilla. I embossed a piece of Marina Mist using the Finial Press Embossing Folder and attached a piece of River Rock behind it that has had one long edge punched using the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I attached this piece to the top of the Very Vanilla Card. I stamped a greeting from the Curvy Verses stampset using Cherry Cobbler ink onto the bottom right hand corner of the card front. I cut 3 sets of leaves from River Rock card using the Little Leaves Sizzlit. I punched 3 Fancy Flowers from Cherry Cobbler card, distressed them with my bone folder and separated each flower into two. I scrunched all 6 flower pieces as tightly as I could. I punched 2 of the largest flowers on the Boho Blossom Punch from River Rock card – separating each into two layers. I pushed Linen Thread through the holes in a Cherry Cobbler button from the Regals Designer Buttons then threaded the Linen Thread through the centre of all of the flowers, tying a knot at the back to keep the flowers all stacked tightly together. I scrunched the flowers a little more around the button and attached them to the card front over the leaves using dimensionals.

You can see a close up of the flower and the embossing. I love the colour combination I used on this card and guess what, it comes straight from the Colour Coach. The Colour Coach makes it so easy to always have great colour combinations on my cards and scrap pages.
Ok so now over to you…go and create your masterpiece and then visit Sunny Challenges and Creations and add it to Mr. Linky. I am really looking forward to seeing some gorgeous creations this week.
Bye for now, Kris.
