A Good Birthday
Today’s card combines some new product with a returning stamp set. I sometimes get bogged down thinking I have to use the products from a Product Suite only with other products from the same suite. Of course, that’s not true, all the products in the new Annual Catalogue are designed to be teamed with any other product you desire. So in a way, today’s card is a little outside my comfort zone! I embossed Very Vanilla card using the Tasteful Textures 3D Embossing Folder. I cut a strip of one of the designs from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper and attached it to the left hand side of the embossed card. I attached the panel to scored and folded Early Espresso card.
I stamped the image from the A Good Man stamp set onto Very Vanilla card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured the image using the Dark Night of Navy, Dark Balmy Blue, Ivory and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends. I cut out the image using one of the ovals from the Layering Ovals Dies and attached it to an Early Espresso scalloped die cut using the same dies. The image panel is attached to the card front using dimensionals.
I punched both ends of a piece of Very Vanilla card using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch and stamped “happy birthday” from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set using Early Espresso ink. I attached the label to a piece of Early Espresso card and then the card front. I only used dimensionals on the ends of the label so that it could sit across the bottom of the stamped oval panel.
To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped “Relax You Way” from the A Good Man stamp set onto Very Vanilla card using Early Espresso ink. I attached a narrow strip of Early Espresso card behind one long edge of Very Vanilla card embossed using the Tasteful Textures 3D Embossing Folder before attaching it to the bottom of the stamped Very Vanilla card.
It was really quite simple to create but I really love the finished card, don’t you?
Bye for now,
Kris

Happy Birthday Ethan
My grandson celebrated his birthday last week and today I am sharing the card I made for him. I embossed Whisper White card using the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder and attached it to Coastal Cabana card. I created a narrow folding section to attach to the centre of the card base using Coastal Cabana card. I attached Whisper White panels to the front and the inside of the folded section. I cut the starry spray from the Stitched Stars Dies from Coastal Cabana card and attached it to the card front.
I stamped “happy birthday” from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set onto Whisper White card using Coastal Cabana ink and punched both ends using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.
I punched both ends of a piece of Coastal Cabana card and attached the greeting, which is attached to the lower right hand side of the central panel using dimensionals. I cut one of the larger stars from the Stitched Stars Dies from Coastal Cabana card and attached it to the top left hand side of the central panel using dimensionals. I cut “14” from Whisper White card using some old dies I have in my stash and attached the numbers to the large Coastal Cabana card. I didn’t decorate the inside of the folded panel because I wanted to leave plenty of room to write my message.
I found the instructions for this fancy fold on Lynn Dunn’s blog. I love it and I am sure to use this fold on more cards in the future. Thank’s Lynn for the inspiration and the tutorial.
Bye for now,

Happy Birthday Ethan
Yesterday my eldest grandson turned 14! Where have the years gone! We celebrated with cake after school and today’s pages show off some photos from this momentous occasion. I began with a Whisper White 12″ x 12″ page and used the starburst technique which I found on pinterest to add some of the beautiful but now retired Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper. The first page uses this technique to completely cover the Whisper White page. I added my photo to Night of Navy card and placed it over the ends of the Designer Series Paper (the ends can be a bit messy or at least mine were).
I cut the “happy” and “birthday” from Night of Navy card using the Well Written Dies and attached them to the top left hand side of the page. I cut the letters for his name from Night of Navy card using the retired Little Letters Thinlets Dies and attached them just above the photo. I stamped the greeting from the Band Together stamp set onto Night of Navy card and punched it out using the Tailored Tag Punch. The greeting is attached partially over the photo using dimensionals.
To create the second page I decided to only add the starbust design across the top half of the page, again using the retired Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper. To cover the ends of the Designer Series Paper I wrapped them with Denim 3/8″ Ribbon. I added my photo to Night of Navy card before attaching it to the page. I created my journaling on the computer and printed onto Whisper White card which I cut into strips and attached to Night of Navy card before attaching to the page. I stamped the greeting from the Band Together stamp set using Night of Navy ink.
I really have to apologise for not getting these pages done sooner but I had to wait on the photos! Still, I think the pages are worth waiting for.
Bye for now,
Kris

Miles Apart…
…but still in my heart. Isn’t that a lovely saying! This greeting can be found in the Lovely You stamp set and not only is it is a lovely greeting but the font is beautiful too! Today’s card is one I created using a sketch I found on Pinterest. I embossed Daffodil Delight card using the Lace 3DEmbossing Folder and attached it across Whisper White card. I attached the Whisper White card to Granny Apple Green card and then scored and folded Poppy Parade card. I stamped the leaf image from the Lovely You stamp set four times onto Whisper White card using Granny Apple Green ink and cut them out using one of the Layering Squares Dies. I attached the stamped squares to scalloped squares cut from Granny Apple Green card using the same dies.
I attached the stamped squares to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped the single flower from the Lovely You stamp set onto scrap Whisper White card using Poppy Parade ink. I cut out the flowers and attached them to the stamped panels.
I stamped the greeting onto Whisper White card using Poppy Parade ink and punched the ends of the banner using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. I sponged Poppy Parade ink around the edges of the greeting banner before attaching it to the card front.
To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped the same leaf image from the Lovely You stamp set onto the lower left hand corner of Whisper White card. I stamped the flower image onto scrap Whisper White card and cut it out before attaching over the end of the leaf.
This card is kind of fussy but I do love the end result. I’ll let you in on a secret, I stamped the greeting directly onto the card front and messed it up, so I added the separate label over the top. Card saved!

Yesterday’s Facebook Live
Yesterday on my Facebook Live, I shared some cards that I created using the Lovely You stamp set. Once again I decided to create a set of cards suitable for the Beginner stamper, Casual stamper and Avid stamper. The Beginner stamper card is created using a Whisper White Note Card for the base. I stamped the multi-leaf image from the Lovely You stamp set using Mint Macaron ink. I stamped the single stem image from the Lovely You stamp set using Soft Sea Foam ink. I stamped the greeting from the same stamp set using Basic Gray ink. Of course, I decorated the front of the envelope using the same leaf image with the same inks.
For the Casual Stamper, I stamped the same leafy images using Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam ink. I stamped the greeting from the Lovely You stamp set using Basic Gray ink beside the leafy images. I attached the stamped panel to Mint Macaron card and then scored and folded Thick Whisper White card.
To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped the multi-leaf image using Mint Macaron ink and the single stem image using Soft Sea Foam ink.
To create the card for the Avid stamper, I attached Soft Sea Foam card to the bottom of Whisper White card and embossed the panel using the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder. I wrapped the top of the Soft Sea Foam card with Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon before attaching the whole panel to scored and folded Mint Macaron card.
I cut Whisper White card using the largest square from the Stitched Shapes Dies. I stamped the multi-leaf image using Mint Macaron ink and the single stem image using Soft Sea Foam ink. I also stamped the greeting using Basic Gray ink before attaching to a Mint Macaron scalloped square cut using the Layering Squares Dies. The image panel is attached to the card front using dimensionals. To decorate the inside of the card, I embossed a narrow strip of Soft Sea Foam card using the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder. I attached the embossed card to the bottom of Whisper White card and wrapped the top edge using Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon.
Another set of cards, I am really happy with. I think I am a bit addicted to creating this type of card set. I know that when I do this, I start to get other ideas while I am stamping, so I think it is a good way to jump start my creativity.
Bye for now,
Kris

Another in Good Taste
Today’s card uses the In Good Taste Product Suite which can be found on pages 122-124 in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. If you don’t have a Demonstrator and you would like a copy of the Catalogue, contact me, so that we can arrange for you to receive one. I love this product suite, it has so many possibilities, but I especially love the flower. I’m a sucker for a beautiful flower and this one is certainly beautiful. I began by stamping the small square background image from the Tasteful Touches stamp set onto Whisper White card using Smoky Slate ink. I also stamped one flower image using Night of Navy ink. I masked the flower and stamped the leaf image several times using Mossy Meadow ink. I removed the mask and embossed the stamped Whisper White card using the Tasteful Texture 3D Embossing Folder. I punched a narrow strip of Night of Navy card using the retired Decorative Ribbon Border Punch and attached it behind one long edge of a strip of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.
I attached the Designer Series Paper panel to the bottom of the embossed Whisper White card before attaching the whole piece to scored and folded Night of Navy card. I stamped the flower image from the Tasteful Touches stamp set twice onto Whisper White card using Night of Navy ink and cut them out. I attached one flower flat onto the embossed Whisper White card and the second flower using dimensionals.
To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped the greeting from the Tasteful Touches stamp set onto Whisper White card using Night of Navy ink. I attached a strip of Night of Navy card punched using the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch behind one long edge of Whisper White card embossed using the Tasteful Texture 3D Embossing Folder. The embossed panel is attached across the bottom of the stamped Whisper White card.
I love the colours and the texture in this card, don’t you. I know you are going to love the In Good Taste Product Suite as much as I do. The Designer Series Paper is just lovely with a great bunch of wood, brick and textile images. The co-ordinating colour combination for the paper is a bit of a surprise with a touch of pink and navy mingled with the mostly gray tones. I bet you can’t wait to get your hands on these great products!

Sunday Stamps Challenge 232
Today’s card was inspired by the sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps. I have been struggling with beginning to use the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and the sketch gave me an opportunity to use some of the images. I began by embossing Whisper White card using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. I embossed a piece of Shaded Spruce card using one of the Greenery Embossing Folders and attached it to the embossed Whisper White card. The whole panel is attached to scored and folded Shaded Spruce card. I cut a piece of the Flowers For Every Season 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper using one of the squares from the Stitched Shapes Dies.
I attached the Designer Series Paper square to the card front. I stamped the sunflower image from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set onto Shimmery White card using Saddle Brown Stazon ink. I used an Aqua Painter with Crushed Curry, Soft Suede and Shaded Spruce ink to colour the image. I cut out the image using a larger square from the Stitched Shapes Dies. I attached the image to the card front using dimensionals.
I stamped the greeting from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set onto scrap Whisper White card using Shaded Spruce ink. I cut out the greeting and attached it to the card front.
To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped another greeting from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set onto Whisper White card using Shaded Spruce ink. I embossed a narrow strip of Shaded Spruce card using the same folder from the Greenery Embossing Folders and attached it to the bottom of the stamped card.
I am happy with my first card using this stamp set, so thanks Sunday Stamps for the inspiration. I’d love to hear what you think.

The Boss Experience
Our lovely daughters and their families bought Ron and I tickets to see The Boss Experience at the Redcliffe Entertainment Centre for Christmas. I usually don’t get photos when Ron and I go out – I am hopeless at selphies! However, we had to call into Sarah’s for something on the way and I got her to take a photo of Ron and I. I used the Tasteful Touches stamp set to decorate a piece of Whisper White card. I stamped the square background image using Petal Pink ink and the leaf image using Mossy Meadow ink.
Once I had done all the stamping I wanted I embossed the stamped card using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. The embossed Whisper White card is attached across the top of 12″ x 12″ Whisper White card. I attached a piece of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper across the bottom of the Whisper White 12″ x 12″ page. I wrapped the page using Denim 3/8″ Ribbon to cover the top of the Designer Series Paper.
I coloured the white side of a retired Pearlized Doily using Rococo Rose ink. I stamped the flower image from the Tasteful Touches stamp set twice onto Whisper white card using Night of Navy ink and cut them out. I attached the photo to Night of Navy card and attached the doily behind the top left hand corner. I also tucked one of the flowers between the doily and the photo before attaching the piece to the page. I attached the second flower to the bottom right hand corner of the photo using dimensionals. I printed the title onto Whisper White card and cut it out using one of the Tasteful Labels Dies. I cut Night of Navy card using another of the Tasteful Labels Dies. I attached the printed title to the Night of Navy Die cut and then to the right hand side of the page.
Once more a simple page but kind of pretty don’t you think. The In Good Taste Designer Series Paper is simply gorgeous and I love how it pairs with the stamped and embossed Whisper White card. Let me know what you think.

Freshly Made Sketch 436
I saw this sketch on the Freshly Made Challenge page and loved it because it gave me the perfect way to show off the images in the Jar of Flowers stamp set which is part of the Flowers For Every Season Product Suite, which can be found on pages 10-13 of your 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. I embossed Whisper White card using the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder and attached it to scored and folded Daffodil Delight card. I stamped the large jar outline image from the Jar of Flowers stamp set onto Whisper White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I stamped the flower stems inside the jar using Mint Macaron ink. I coloured the stems using the Dark Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blend. I added the fill image using Mint Macaron ink which I stamped off onto scrap paper first before punching out the image using the Jar Punch. I attached the punched image to Whisper White card and then Daffodil Delight Card.
The whole panel is attached to the card front. I stamped the sunflower image from the Jar of Flowers stamp set onto Whisper White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured the image using Daffodil Delight, Light Soft Suede, Light Mint Macaron and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends. I cut out the image and attached it to the top of the jar image using dimensionals. I coloured a length of the Whisper White 1/2″ Faux Linen Ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season Combo Pack using the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend.
I tied a bow in the ribbon and attached it to the card front using a Mini Glue Dot. I stamped the greeting from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set onto Daffodil Delight card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and punched it out using the Classic Label Punch. I trimmed the right hand side of the punched greeting and attached it to the card front using Mini Dimensionals.
To decorate the inside of the card, I attached a narrow strip of Daffodil Delight card behind one long edge of Whisper White card embossed using the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder. The panel is attached to the bottom of Whisper White card.
I loved this card so much, I went on to create three more cards using the floral images in the Jar of Flowers stamp set. For each of the cards, I used the same embossing folder and created the “jar” image in the same manner.
For the second card, I used Petal Pink for my card base. The ribbon is coloured using the Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend and the greeting is stamped onto Petal Pink card. The image is coloured using Petal Pink, Light Highland Heather, Mint Macaraon and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.
The third card uses HIghland Heather card for the card base and the greeting. I coloured the ribbon using the dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blend. The image is coloured using Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight, Light Highland Heather and Light Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends.
The last card uses Calypso Coral card for the card base and the greeting. I coloured the ribbon using the Dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend. The image is coloured using Highland Heather, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Light Soft Suede and Light Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends.
I love these cards and I love the gorgeous floral images in the Jar of Flowers stamp set. Thanks for Freshly Made for the inspiration, although I did miss the deadline to contribute to the challenge. I’d love to hear what you think.
Bye for now,
Kris

World of Good Product Suite
Yesterday, on my Facebook Live, I shared some cards I made using the World of Good Product Suite. This product suite can be found on pages 24-26 of your 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue, which is now available for you to purchase from. Yay! I like to start with a beginners card when I start using a new product, it kind of gets my thought processes working to get creative, so the first card uses a Whisper White Note Card. I stamped the ink well image from the Beautiful World stamp set onto the front of the Note Card using Mossy Meadow ink.
I stamped the feather image using Crumb Cake ink and the greeting using Early Espresso ink. I also decorated the envelope by stamping the feather image twice onto the lower left hand corner using Crumb Cake ink. Simple but pretty.
To create my slightly stepped up version for the Casual Stamper, I stamped the inkwell image from the Beautiful World stamp set onto scrap Whisper white card using Mossy Meadow ink and cut it out using the co-ordinating World Map Die. I stamped the feather image from the same stamp set onto scrap Whisper White card using Crumb Cake ink and cut it out using the co-ordinating World Map Die.
I attached the two images to Whisper White card before stamping the greeting from the Beautiful World stamp set using Early Espresso ink. The Whisper White panel is attached to Cinnamon Cider card (one of the new in-colours) and then scored and folded Thick Whisper White card. To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped another greeting from the Beautiful World stamp set using Early Espresso ink and also the feather image using Crumb Cake ink. A couple of more steps but still pretty simple and easy for someone to re-create.
The third card is created with the Avid Stamper in mind, someone like me who just has to have it all. I must admit that Stampin’ Up! has made that super easy by giving us an item number to order everything in the product suite! This time, I embossed Whisper White card using the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder. I attached a piece of the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper across the bottom of the embossed card. This Designer Series Paper is simply gorgeous with the addition of Brass foiling l to some of the papers including the one I have used.
I wrapped the top of the Designer Series Paper with the Early Espresso 1/4″ Faux Suede Trim (also part of the Product Suite) and tied a knot. The Whisper White panel is attached to scored and folded Cinnamon Cider card. I cut an oval from Whisper White card and a scalloped oval from Cinnamon Cider card using the Layering Ovals Dies.
I attached the Whisper White oval to the scalloped oval and then the card front using dimensionals. I stamped the inkwell image from the Beautiful World stamp set onto scrap Whisper White card using Mossy Meadow ink and cut it out using the co-ordinating World Map Die. I stamped the feather image from the same stamp set onto scrap Whisper White card using Crumb Cake ink and cut it out using the co-ordinating World Map Die. I attached the feather to the Whisper White oval and the inkwell over the top of the end of the feather using a dimensional. I stamped the greeting from the Beautiful World stamp set onto scrap Whisper White card using Early Espresso ink. I fussy cut the greeting and attached it to the card front using dimensionals where necessary. To decorate the inside of the card, I attached a piece of the same World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper across the bottom of Whisper White card. I wrapped the top of the Designer Series Paper using the Early Espresso 1/4″ Faux Suede Trim before attaching the panel to the inside of the card.
So there you have it, my three versions – Beginner, Casual and Avid Stamper – all beginning with the same basic images. I am getting quite a collection of Note Cards which I am thinking need to be packaged up and given as a gift to someone special.
Let me know what you think of this gorgeous Product Suite.
Bye for now,
Kris
