More Project Life
For my workshop last weekend I wanted to show that you can use the Project Life products in more than one way. Some of you are still on the fence about pocket scrapbooking and may want to see a more traditional way these products can be used.
I layered two of my photos (in the centre) onto Whisper White card and then attached these photos and two more onto Basic Black card. I attached the Everyday Adventure Project Life Cards to Crushed Curry card and attached them onto the top right and bottom left corners. I used the letter stickers from the Everyday Adenture Project Life Accessory Pack to create my title. I used the Project Life Journalling Pens to write onto the card on the bottom left and added one of the sticker hearts from the Accessory Pack. I punched the two long edges of a strip of Bermuda Breeze card using the Scallop Border Punch and wrapped it with Whisper White 5/8″ Organza Ribbon before attaching it across the centre of the page. The whole piece is attached to Whisper White 12″ x 12″ card. I ran a strip of the Washi Tape that comes in the Project Life Accessory Pack across the bottom of the page. Lastly I tied a bow using the Whisper White 5/8″ Organza Ribbon and attached it using Glue Dots.
Again this is a simple page but I love how quickly it came together. The central strip of ribbon and card hides some imperfections in the lengths of the photos and helps to unify the page.
I have to say I love these photos of my grandchildren on the first day of school. Ava is the only one at home this year and she will be going off to Prep next year. They are all growing up so fast and so wonderfully. Love them all to pieces.
Perhaps I have helped you to see some of the possibilities for these wonderful Project Life products. The new catalogue launches next week and you will then be able to purchase several more of these wonderful Project Life Card Collections and Accessory Packs. I can’t wait!
Bye for now,
Kris

Project Life Workshop
Yesterday afternoon I held a workshop in my own home to introduce my customers to Project Life. Unfortunately a lot of my customers had longstanding engagements, but for those that came we had a lovely afternoon exploring all the ways you can use Stampin’ Up! Project Life products.
I am a little excited about this product (alright ladies a LOT excited). It is such a fantastic way to get your photos off the computer, out of a box, or from under the bed.
I am not a scrap every week or month kind of girl, I’m more of an event scrapbooker. So I demonstrated how easy it was to put together a page for my grandson’s birthday. I printed out three 6 x 4″ photos and one which had two photos on it.
I cut out the smaller photos using the Project Life Cards and Framelits Die and placed them into the 3 x 4″ pockets. I used a large 6 x 4″ Project Life Everyday Adventure Card to create a title block for my page. I cut Crushed Curry and Strawberry Slush card using one of the Banner Framelit Dies and Pear Pizzazz card using the banner framelit from the Thinlets Circle Card die. I embossed the Crushed Curry card using the Chevron Embossing Folder, the Strawberry Slush card using the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder and the Pear Pizzazz card using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.
I attached the banners to the right hand side of the Everyday Adventure Card and used the finest of the Project Life Journalling Pens to add my title. I cut Burmuda Breeze card 3″ x 4″ and embossed it using the Arrow Embossing Folder. Stamped You and Me from the Perfect Pennants stamp set onto Whisper White card using Bermuda Breeze ink and the dotted strip image from the same stamp set using Crushed Curry ink. I cut out the greeting using one of the Banner Framelit Dies and attached it to the embossed Bermuda Breeze card.
To fill the last 3 x 4″ pocket I used the cut out heart piece which comes with the Everyday Adventure Project Life Accessory Pack. I attached it to one of the 3″ x 4″ pocket cards from the Everyday Adventure Project Life Card Collection and then stamped the Date stamp from the Project Life Day to Day photopolymer stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I filled in the date with the finest Project Life Journalling Pen. I used the Project Life Corner Punch to round the corners of all my photos and pocket cards. The whole page took me only minutes to put together.
Just to show how fantastic this product line is. I had already used the same Project Life Digital Products to create the same page which I had printed out. My customers were as impressed as I am by this product line – although maybe not quite as excited.
If you would like to learn more about this product, I would love to come and show you and your friends just how easy it is. If you live too far away for me to visit, contact me with any questions you might have.
I’d love to know what you think about these projects and this product line. Remember out Project Life Products will match out existing colour families so you can add embellishments and know that they will match your projects.
Bye for now,
Kris

60 Years
My Mum and Dad celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on Thursday. It sounds like such a long time but I’m sure the years have flown by. My Mum was 17 and my Dad 23 when they got married and together they have created a wonderful life and watched their family grow. They have three daughters (I am the eldest), 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
I wanted to create a special card and this is what I decided on. I embossed Whisper White card using the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder and attached it to scored and folded Whisper White card. I cut the heart from Whisper White card using the Heart Framelit Dies, rubbed it with Versamark, sprinkled it with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and heat set it. I tied a bow through the 60 charm using some retired Silver Thread and attached it to the tip of the bow with a Glue Dot. I cut Vellum card using the Little Leaves Sizzlit and attached it to the bow. I stamped Happy Anniversary from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set onto Whisper White card using Smoky Slate ink and cut it out using one of the Bitty Framelit Dies.
I punched two circles from Whisper White card using the 1-3/4″ Scallop Circle, two circles using the 1-1/4″ Scallop Circle and two using the 3/4″ Scallop Circle. I separated the card, scrunched them and stacked them on a retired Silver Brad before attaching the flower over the leaves and the greeting.
Inside the card I attached a narrow piece of Smoky Slate card to Whisper White card embossed with the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder. I cut another set of leaves from Vellum card and attached a small heart over the top. I forgot to take this photo before I wrote in the card, so forgive my blurry editing.
My parents are taking a little cruise and spending some time with my sister and her daughter in Perth. A well deserved break to celebrate such a milestone.

For my Aunty
My Aunty celebrated her birthday yesterday and I wanted to share with you the card I made for her. I’m sorry to be tormenting you with the Blendibilites but I was enjoying using them so much when I made my daughter’s card, I just had to have another play with them.
I embossed Coastal Cabana card using the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder and attached it to scored and folded Baked Brown Sugar card. I stamped the Vivid Vases onto Whisper White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured the vases with the Coastal Cabana Blendibilities and used Blendibilites in the following colours for the flowers – Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzlebrry, Cherry Cobbler, Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight.
I used the Old Olive Blendibilites to add colour to the leaves and stems. I attached the stamped panel to Baked Brown Sugar card which has the lower edge punched using the Scallop Trim Border Punch (I am really sorry that this punch is retiring) and attached the panel to the card front.
I stamped the greeting from the Petite Pairs stamp set using Baked Brown Sugar ink onto Whisper White card and punched it out using the Large Oval Punch. I attached the greeting to a Baked Brown Sugar Scallop Oval and then the card front using dimensionals.
Inside the card I stamped three of the images from the Vivid Bases stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them to match the front of the card. I added a strip of embossed Coastal Cabana card to Baked Brown Sugar card to look like the vases are sitting on a shelf.
I do hope my Aunt likes her card as much as I do.

Kris

Happy Birthday Emma
My youngest daughter celebrates her birthday today. I won’t tell you how old she is but I will share the card I made for her.
I embossed Whisper White card using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. Before attaching the embossed card to scored and folded Cherry Cobbler card I wrapped it with Cherry Cobbler 1/2″ Seam Binding. I stamped the image from the Bloom with Hope stamp set (a Hostess set which I was able to pre-order) onto Whisper White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I got to use my gorgeous new Cherry Cobbler Blendibilites to colour the flowers and Old Olive Blendibilities to colour the leaves and stems. I am absolutely in love with these wonderful markers.
The only trouble is the Blendibilities won’t be available to customers as soon as the catalogue launches because of supply issues. You could, however, still take advantage of the $85.00 joining promotion and buy them in your kit (but you need to hurry). Anyway, I cut the image using an Oval Framelit Die and attached it to another Oval cut from Cherry Cobbler card.
I stamped happy birthday from the Petite Pairs stamp set onto Whisper White card using Cherry Cobbler ink and cut it out using one of the Banner Framelit Dies. The greeting is attached to the back of the Cherry Cobbler oval and then the whole piece is attached to the card front. I tied a bow in another length of Cherry Cobbler 1/2″ Seam Binding and attached it to the card front using a Glue Dot.
Inside I kept the card very simple by attaching another small flower which I coloured and then cut out.

Kris

Ethan’s Birthday Card
My grandson Ethan celebrated his 8th birthday on Thursday and this is the card I made for him. Ethan and my husband are both learning the guitar together and they spend lots of time together “jamming”! Anyway we all got together and bought him an amplifier to go onto his Accoustic Guitar. I’m not sure how his family is going to cope with the extra volume when he practices but he was so excited to receive this present.
Anyway I decided to make him a guitar themed card. So I went to my favourite place for inspiration – Pinterest – and found this great card to case . It was originally posted on Splitcoast Stampers.
I used Basic Black for my card base and added the guitar shape which I hand cut from So Saffron card. I used various Circle Framelits to create the central “hole”, the shadow shape on the right is cut using the smallest Oval Framelit and the part at the bottom where the strings start is the the bottom part of the Artisan Punch with a narrow strip of Basic Black card on top. I used the smallest circle punch on the Owl Punch to create the place where the strings begin. I used Linen Thread to represent the strings.
Inside the card I put My Digital Studio to good use. I used the Extreme Elements Stamp Brush Set Digital Download to create the background (colours – Soft Suede and Crumb Cake) I added the Extreme Guitar Stamp Brush Set Digital Download in Early Expresso over the top. The greeting is from the Cake and Ice cream Stamp Brush Set Digital Download and is also coloured with Early Expresso. I printed the images onto Whisper White card on my home printer and cut it to fit inside the card.
Ethan really like his card and even tried to play the strings! It’s always so nice when you know that your hard work is appreciated.
I’m so glad he had a wonderful birthday and even better he got the present he wanted. In fact he was lucky enough to get enough money from his aunt and great grandparents to buy himself a microphone. I’m sure there will be many concert performances now!!
Bye for now,
Kris

Project Life has Arrived
Well, actually it arrived yesterday.
I am really excited to be sharing this fantastic new product line with you. We get the flexibility of Project Life with the co-ordination of Stampin’ Up! The colours in our Project Life range will match Stampin’ Up! colours, so if you want to add some card stock or some ribbon or a Candy Dot, the colours will match the Stampin’ Up! colour families.
I had my first play with Project Life at Convention when we were given a Make and Take using one of the 6″ x 8″ Page Protectors and a package of the Everyday Adventure Project Life Accessory Pack. I think this is going to be a fun size to work with, although you will have to wait until the new catalogue goes live on the 1st July to be able to purchase this particular item.
The quality of some of the photos is not fantastic but it highlights the things that were truly memorable about Convention.
So without further ado – these are the traditional Project Life products that you can pre-order from this range.
And…these are the digital Project Life products that you can pre-order.

Work of Art – maybe
After my pre-order arrived, I spent some time playing with the images from the Work of Art stamp set. This is my first effort and basically uses just about every image in the set. I thought it looked cute but my husband just raised his eyebrows.
I loved the way these colours worked and also the way it was so easy to line up the chevron image so I had another try. This time I stamped the curved image onto the Whisper White card using Soft Suede ink. The first time I stamped first generation, the second time, I stamped off once and the third time I stamped off twice. It gave a really nice graduation in colour. I attached this to Soft Suede card before attaching to Whisper White card embossed with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.
I stamped the chevron image onto Whisper White card using Crumb Cake ink and attached it to Crumb Cake card before adding it to the card front. Note how well the chevrons line up and I didn’t use a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig. I stamped the greeting onto Whisper White card using Early Expresso ink and punched it out with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch.
I attached it to a Early Expresso 2-3/8″ Scalloped Circle and then the card front using dimensionals. Lastly I stamped the heart using Cherry Cobbler ink, cut it out and attached it to the greeting panel. The whole piece is attached to scored and folded Early Expresso card.
Inside I stamped the background image using Crumb Cake ink and then stamped the greetings over the top using Early Expresso and Cherry Cobbler ink. I love this card how about you?. I think this is a fabulous stamp set and I am sure it will make its way onto lots of creations in the future.
Bye for now,
Kris

A couple of Gift Cards
I had a request from one of the ladies at Beachmere to create some small cards, perfect for a box of chocolates or other small gift.
The thinking of you card uses the very beautiful Stippled Blossoms stamp set. The solid flowers were stamped in Pink Pirouette and the outline flowers were stamped over the top using Cherry Cobbler ink. Once the flower was stamped it was covered by a post-it-note mask before stamping the leaves. The solid leaves were stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink and the outline flowers were stamped over the top using Gumball Green ink. I removed the mask and stamped “thinking of you” from the Sassy Salutations stamp set using Cherry Cobbler ink, but your could easily use the Happy Birthday greeting from the same stamp set.
For the second card I stamped the background from The Open Sea stamp set using Crumb Cake ink. I stamped the world image over the top using Marina Mist ink and then stamped the ship over the top using Night of Navy ink. I stamped the birthday greeting from Bring on the Cake stamp set also using Night of Navy ink.
These are such a great sized card to have on hand. You can get four of these from an A4 sheet which also makes them very economical. Each card is 10.5cm x 14.8cm, scored along the 14.8cm length at 7.4cm.
I’d love to hear what you think of these cute little cards.

Kris

Something Old, Something New
Yesterday I got my first pre-order from the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue. Remember I told you as a demonstrator I get to “play” with new goodies before they are released to the general market. For me this is one of the reasons I love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator (there are so many more). If you would like to “play” a little earlier with new product then you should take advantage of the great deal at the moment to sign up as a demonstrator for the really low price of $85.00 (ends on June 30th). You get to pick your own product to the value of $90.00 and you will also get all the business supplies you need to get started as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I would love to have you join my team.
Anyway, I unpacked my box, and then just had to have a quick “play”. So here is my first card using the Something For Baby stamp set and matching framelits. I also used Midnight Muse ink and ribbon which unfortunately is retiring as an in-colour but it is being replaced by some gorgeous new colours.
I embossed the top two-thirds of Whisper White card using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and wrapped it with the Midnight Muse 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon and tied a knot. I attached the embossed card to Midnight Muse card and then to scored and folded Whisper White card.
I stamped the pram image onto Whisper White card using Midnight Muse ink and cut it out using the matching Baby’s First Framelits (you will be able to buy the stamp set and framelits as a bundle and save). I attached the pram to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped “hello baby” from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set onto Whisper White card using Midnight Muse ink and punched it out using the Word Window Punch.
I attached the greeting to a Midnight Muse Modern Label and then to the card front using dimensionals.
Inside I stamped the pram once more using Midnight Muse ink. A really simple card but I think it is just gorgeous (maybe I am a little biased).
So don’t forget to check out the fabulous deal to sign up as a demonstrator for $85.00 and please contact me if you want any more details.
You need to check out the retired list and order your Midnight Muse supplies before stocks run out.
Bye for now,
Kris
